Design

This is a prototype for a wearable LED matrix light that’s easily reprogrammed on the go.

The controller is a Pixelblaze V3 Pico. It can broadcast or join a wireless network to allows the LED to be controlled, or even reprogrammed on the go, via a web interface.

The base platform is an Adafruit Perma-Proto board. The battery is a 3.7V 18650 cell. The voltage is boosted to 5V to match the logic for both the LED matrix and microcontroller.

A layer of conformal coating was applied at the end to attempt to protect the device from the rigors of being a wearable.

Flip the battery to turn the device off.
